Creativity was an early spark…
fuelled by music and art. My journey began in corporate and residential architecture, but it was the fast pace of retail that truly ignited my passion.
I cut my teeth in design with the first 24-hour Engen Quickshop stores in the ’90s for Engen, and never looked back. Freelancing for Woolworths SA followed, with award-winning work for brands like Vespa SA and Edgars Melrose Arch.
I led creative on major projects at Edcon, including a 12,000 m² Sandton City store. Returning to Woolworths in 2016, I reimagined food stores and cafés, which informed my work with Luke Dale‑Roberts on The Test Kitchen update that year. We collaborated again on the award‑winning SALON in 2023 and a soft update for The Potluck Club in 2025.
In the recent past, I’ve worked with a diverse roster of agencies and brands like PEP, Tekkietown, Refinery, AYANA, UnionDNM, Sneaker Factory, RFO, Neovision, Rowdy and more – guiding conceptual design and development with a focus on storytelling and impact.
