Nestled on the slopes of Devil’s Peak, this home was full of surprises and a statement structural expressionism – a developer’s old lair with beams soaring above a small pool, and a quartet of internal columns in eye-popping colours.

The task was to tame the chaos, reset the geometry, and craft a space that was simple, modern, and uncluttered. The howling southeaster was a curveball, which by using the building itself, allowed a sheltered garden and balconies retaining the uninterrupted views of the bowl.
